Help!! I'm not mechanically inclined at all and after reading this feed I feel like I should be checking this out. What are symptoms of the problem and how can I check it out?

Worth asking about, as it obviously impacts the cats, rather directly, and cats are part of the emissions system. May have to persist with pestering Ford directly, although it does help to have a case number, which the dealer has to open with Ford.

Ask the dealer to open a case with Ford. If they won't do it, call up Ford Customer Service directly and tell them what is going on. Again, it may take some time to work directly with Ford also.

Ok I went all the way to Ford customer careless, my certified 2013 SHO that is using oil, TSB- 15-0086 would be covered under extended, but not certified warranty, or would be covered under emissions warranty ONLY UP TO 50,000 MILES, other parts like the cats are warranted to 80,000 miles. So if your vehicle is smoking or using oil and it all over the intake hoses etc, get it done before 50,000 miles. Ford want $750 plus tax and misc to do. Parts can be had around 200+ plus shipping and tax for the forced DIYs. ....this must eventually be done because the excessive oil will **** you cats, like my bank 2 cat.....good luck, bend over
