Hello all,
Name is Steve Jackson, this is my first post to this forum. I would like to come here for some help. My father in law had purchased a 1993 3.2 SHO, we have been working on it for the last year (when he gets a few extra bucks) and we have dumped a lot of work into this machine, however we have hit quite a snag..
We are doing the timing belt on it (god knows when it was last done and we want this to be reliable without issues later on) and we have run into the fact that we need/want to do a Tensioner, tensioner pulley and an idler along with a new belt, but It seems the parts are hard to get or out of production (thanks Obama).
Has anyone been able to locate the timing belt whole setup or part it out?
Does anyone have a spare timing belt cover (appears to be 3 pieces) or know where to get one? At one time, the belt on this car had worked it way forward and made a nice cut through all the covers and busted it.
How about a full engine gasket kit? intake, valve cover, oil pan, exhaust gaskets? just debating on dropping the engine, cleaning up the oil leaks that has happened over the years and going in with a newly cleaned engine.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all! And I will be back with many more questions after we get this fine automobile on the road and working all the bugs out.
