Direct injection meth kits? As in meth directly injected into cylinders like direct injection gas? If so, I personally think the standard injection before the TB is the way to go as it will wash the back of your intake valves and keep them clean. But that's just my opinion.
No, I meant they will have a setup soon where there is an individual injector for each cylinder right off the intake manifold, instead of a single injector for the entire engine. PFI, if you will, but with methanol. An existing setup from ProMeth:
https://prometh.com/products/ford-sho-taurus-ecoboost-direct-port

Livernois will also tune remotely, just not with a dyno. Basically you tell them what changes you need, they will email you the updated tunes if those changes are possible. No dyno needed.

Just do revisions it takes a few but he can dial in what ever you want. Firmer or softer shifts more aggressive or less. He will only turn it up if it can handle and has no mechanical issues. I had him turn mine all the way up with more boost in the lower rpm. Turned it up till it knocked then adjusted turned it down a lil bit Car went from around a 15 second 0 to 100 to a 10 second. With out meth 11.9 you can learn to read your logs and see what the cars doing. That's with no boosted launch. Need .28 gapped plugs. Clean map sensors fresh oil, trans, Ptu, rear diff. That way your ready to enjoy it and not worry.

Mechanical warranty was a few grand, when stuff starts to break down I'll rebuild and cover the difference with performance in mind. I am going to stick to the heavy service schedule and hope for the best. 11.9 is very impressive! I want my v6 to throw my horses then my brothers srt8

When u purchase from Torrie plugs 3 bar therm x4 or live wire it comes with a tune or save on 2.
As you get more upgrades like meth kits he will not charge you to tune them. You can find the thermostats cheaper hmu if u need one. I got my x4 2 tunes, plugs 1 step cooler, therm,and the map for 633 shipped. Cheaper than just the my cal witch don't log for adjustments.
Not to say anything bad about lms I'm definitely going buy a 3.5 when it's time from them they know the eco like no other .

Looking at the price of these parts alone, this seems like an amazing deal. How'd you pull off $633? Could you give me your contacts information? Thx for the advice!!

399.99 = Tuner + tunes(unlimited revisions through unleashed)
Thermostat = 49.99 170F
Plugs = Motorcraft SP534 @$48.00 for all 6 (online or local auto store)
3BAR = $48 or so through rock auto..

All that is around $550 if you source from different places.... not including shipping and tax..

This right here is one of the reasons this forum is so great!! If your ever around south jersey area, shoot me a message, I got the first round. I figured my only option was to purchase from the vendors on this site. $99 for 6 spark plugs from livernois is a bit crazy honestly. $70 for a tstat and 3 bar...... $549 for a tuner. Your prices are very reasonable.... thanks for doing the research for me

If you have never dealt with performance shops, it's a bit shocking....

But most performance shops are most expensive just by virtue of being a performance shop...

Never dealt with the speed shops, I used to work on the 4x4 lift kit side of the house

What year SHO? I thought the SP-534 came standard in the 2013+.. just might need to pull and re-gap the existing..

2014 with 25,500 miles. I've read that the livernois plugs were a special gap specifically for tuned eco engines

The Livernois plugs are Motorcraft SP-534 and those come pre-gapped from the factory at the recommended .030 setting.

Obviously you will want to double check and make adjustments if needed. I believe LMS checks the gap before sending however, I would still check before putting them in.

Nothing really special about buying them from LMS.. except the higher price.

Again, I think the 2013+ already comes with those plugs, just re gap them.

LMS is super conservative and will recommend you replace the plugs anyway just to eliminate any potential problem.

I just went to my local store and purchased them, double checked the gap, installed, and have not had a problem since with the plugs.

Honestly, IMHO I would grab the LMS tune, then pick up the thermostat from unleashed, and order the 3BAR from rock auto, and pick up new plugs locally if they are cheaper than rock auto.

You will have a nice set and forget tune with the supporting parts...

You don't think it would be beneficial to get the unleashed to further tune as I continue to add performance mods like the large turbos, down pipes, and meth....

Sorry, forgot you were looking at doing more! There is another guy looking at similar but doesn't want to mess with much....

If that is the case, then Unleashed is an option too... LMS will only tune for their Meth kit, which requires 100% Methanol solutions..

Torrie will tune for anything, he doesn't care. You will have more options for meth kits if you go with unleashed...

Sold! I'll start researching the $399 tuner, do you go through a specific point of contact with this forum or do you guys just buy from the site directly?

SCT sets the price of the tuner, so regardless of who you buy it from, it will be the same. Only caveat is if you buy used... they generally go for around $250 used. I am talking about the SCTx4 programmer. If you buy used, Torrie will charge around $150 for the tune itself whereas if you buy the tuner from him, its $399 and includes a tune. Math wise, its better to buy from him.

Another advantage to the SCT platform vs LMS is there are several tuners who use the SCT platform, so if you don't like what you are getting from Torrie, you can purchase a tune from somewhere else.
