Upgrades within the year
Larger turbos, 1700cc Injectors, cai, spark plugs, down pipes, lowering springs, 160 thermostat

I'll need a tune, which would you guys recommend? Research I have done makes me think unleashed, bc the monitoring system allows for continuos updates. Any time of the year this stuff go on sale, if not what order would you guys recommend for purchase? Is this 3 bar as important as the companies lead on?

3 bar sensor allows you to run more boost. If you don't get one then you're limited on the sensor range. I'm not an expert but I would imagine you will see little/no gains with larger turbos and no 3 bar sensor.

Thanks! I'll add it to the list! Didn't know it played such an important role

Larger turbos will help make the same power with less boost, or more power at the same boost levels. Sounds like the route you are going will need the 3bar like SilverSHO said. But how big do you intend to go? At some point, if you want the power & the reliability, a built block like bpd's will become a necessity rather than a luxury. Unless you are planning a high E-Blend/E85 setup, not really seeing the need for bigger injectors either. If you do go the E route, you will likely need to plan for a more robust HPFP at the least. Livernois is also coming out with a "direct injection" methanol setup soon, where each cylinder gets its' own injector; this should make power production more even, and raise power levels even further.

A 2 bar sensor is good for 14.7 psi of boost, while a 3 bar sensor is good for about 29.8 psi.

You can make pretty good power with just a 2 bar sensor and 93 octane fuel and a tune, TBH. What is your target AWHP/AWTQ?

I would like a 500 hp car. Ill research the e85/hpfp upgrades. I kno nothing about them. I was told the car would need the injectors with the added turbo /air. I would be interested in the direct injection meth kits as well. I have a warranty on the car it's an aftermarket through USAA. So I'm going to wait to do any engine work until I need to get in there for the warranty.

I use unleashed Torrie is great and fast. I run e20 tune we only have 91 here and the car didn't like being turned up on the 91. but I have e85 readily available. Was able to Data log and turn it up quiet a bit in the e20. I'm also running a new meth kit. He also will tune the meth mix what ever u want. I run another tuner that has some impressive times imho one of the best. And proving it on the track.

I was debating on the meth kit, but I think I may wait for the direct injection kit to come out as long as it isn't 2 incredibly expensive

Any advice on which tune ( livernois or unleased ) I should look for with these mods in mind. Does it matter?

Honestly, I have had both... and I would recommend LMS...

They have more support for the 3.5TT SHO between the two. Plus, they in house have all the gear you are talking about.

So if they have all that gear in house then they should be capable of tuning with these mods in mind correct?

Why wait you can install the whole kit. Then when your ready plug it in and your a go. ? I'm debating but as fast the car is I don't know if it's worth the money for the injection. It's already too fast as it is. Cant barely stop it.

When u purchase from Torrie plugs 3 bar therm x4 or live wire it comes with a tune or save on 2.
As you get more upgrades like meth kits he will not charge you to tune them. You can find the thermostats cheaper hmu if u need one. I got my x4 2 tunes, plugs 1 step cooler, therm, and the map for 633 shipped. Cheaper than just the my cal witch don't log for adjustments.
Not to say anything bad about lms I'm definitely going buy a 3.5 when it's time from them they know the eco like no other .

If your going to be spending that kind of dough for those mods you might as well get a Dyno tune. Go to livernois and get a Dyno tune or get a remote Dyno tune by Torrie. (Not sure if Livernois does remote Dyno tuning)

No, LMS does not do remote tuning. And an in house dyno tune is 100 times better than a remote tune.

Sorry meant Dyno tuning at some place close to op and having Torrie going over the runs on the Dyno. Did not mean logging on the x4/x3/livewire.

Direct injection meth kits? As in meth directly injected into cylinders like direct injection gas? If so, I personally think the standard injection before the TB is the way to go as it will wash the back of your intake valves and keep them clean. But that's just my opinion.

Livernois will only tune for Alky meth kits.
Livernois also won't tune for ethanol blending.

Just do revisions it takes a few but he can dial in what ever you want. Firmer or softer shifts more aggressive or less. He will only turn it up if it can handle and has no mechanical issues. I had him turn mine all the way up with more boost in the lower rpm. Turned it up till it knocked then adjusted turned it down a lil bit Car went from around a 15 second 0 to 100 to a 10 second. With out meth 11.9 you can learn to read your logs and see what the cars doing. That's with no boosted launch. Need .28 gapped plugs. Clean map sensors fresh oil, trans, Ptu, rear diff. That way your ready to enjoy it and not worry.

just so you dont get to mixed up dyno tunes are NOT the BEST way to tune a car I dont know any of you that have seen any cars running down the track in 3rd gear with the hood open..... Everyone has their preference all seem to be good tunners you are limited with livernoise so know that before boying theirs. Data loging can be fun also each car and driver wants and acts different. Hope that helps. Good luck and happy tunniing!!!!.
