I brought my car in to two different dealers for service and both times they didn't rotate my tires

As far as bad service, I have run into it a time or two. These days I have at least 3 dealers nearby to use (more if I don't mind an extra 20 minutes to get to the other end of the metro area) so if I run into recurring issues I go to another dealer. Had to do that just with oil changes on the '14 f150. Haven't had oasis issues yet.

Service is only as good as the specific people working on your car. Might be great techs and service people there but doesn't do any good if you don't get them.

I just called my closest dealer to schedule the fuel pump module recall service and she said my VIN was coming up as an invalid number in their system. I read it to her twice and she read it back to me. I'm guessing they aren't too excited about servicing this recall...

unfortunately, at most dealers, the system is only as good as the trained monkey that is keying in the VIN. if he/she fat-fingers the VIN, then the wrong car shows up as having had the service done. some dealers scan the VIN, but most that I have seen do not yet do that, just type it in. as an example, we had at least two times a month where we had to fix the CarFax because the service guys typed in the miles wrong - sometimes by 100,000 miles...

so, stand your ground with the zone rep and hopefully he/she will do the right thing for you.

I called back today, gave my VIN again, and they scheduled the recall service work for next week. As suspected, I think it was user-error yesterday. :typing:

The fuel pump control module is very easy to do, the fuel pump itself is more involved. Most of the time, the hrs quoted are based on anticipated workload and your position in queue.
