I usually buy but I picked up a 15 SHO/PP with all options for $398 a month(36Months) with only first payment and doc fee upfront. I think that's fair for a car that stickered for 48K. Same deal for a Honda Accord Touring was $465. Anyone else?

Car stickers at 48, normally sells at 38-40 and depreciates to 25-28 in three years. You are paying around 12K after interest is taken care of (don't know about sales tax). If you are only keeping the car three years with low miles I think you did the right thing, especially if you can deduct the lease payment as a business expense. Someone like you did this with my 2013 and I was happy to pick it up as a CPO after the lease was up. My cut off for buying new was 36,000 with the performance package, massaging seats, sun roof, nav, and the sony audio. I would then loose 9K over the next two to three years in exchange for having a new car. Thats between 400 and 300 a month which is around what your lease is. Some other SHO dude bought the car on Dec 30th (I was going after it on new years for 36 negotiated down from 38) so I went with plan B which was a 2013 CPO with 18K miles on it for 27500. At the end of the day I ending up getting a car that was new enough that I could not tell there were 18,000 miles on it. To be CPO they had to put new tires on it, so thats what made it worth while. Also, the my SHO has active park assist which was available in the PP only in 2013. Your massage controls are better than mine though as its on the sync console in 2015. My payments are similar to your lease but at least I believe I'm over the big depreciation ****.

Total expenditure if I buy at the end of the lease, is just a bit above 40K, which is a few thousands more than if I both it outright. I most likely will turn it in and buy something else. Maybe a Fusion Sport !

FYI...not nit picking.... but I don't think that's accurate as I have a '13 non-pp and I have APA.
In 13' you could get the active parking assist with the PP, but in 14,15 and 16 you can only get active park assist on non PP units. Non-PP SHOs have always been able to get active park assist.
