Loaded new tune Car slams forward in PARK

Im loosing it!!!! Loaded new tune and it wont run!!!!! Slams forward in park and the service transmission light comes on...Just put new plugs and Tstat and 3 bar map sensor then tightened all the clamps on my intake...
loaded the stock tune back on and it's still doing it wasnt' before I loaded this new file I somehow lost my stock tune I think?????!!!

From years of doing this (calibration for Fords). It simply sounds like a bad file. If the Tuner corrupted the tune it may have corrupted the original backup as well. Has Ford reflashed this thing yet?

I would call SCT and see if a recovery file is possible (also check to make sure SCT doesn't have any updates)

When you put it back to stock, did you revert to 2 bar map also? Second All_Grip's thought on mismatched PCM calibration, possibly corrupted tune. If you get the strategy code, the tuner can get you the "stock" file should you need it.

Yes reflashed about 1 week ago then I gave the new ECU codes to them and got the (updated tune) for new parts and the reflash ford did.

No kept the 2 Bar in, it's running so bad I cant run it for more than 10 seconds feels like an earth quake and then I put it in neutral and the car made 3 really loud noises (BANG really fast) from the transmission jerking forward violently.
Can you guys explain the corrupted tune? how does it happen first off? and why did my stock file not fix the problem? Or where did it go? I know my plugs and 3 bar are installed correct along with my new thermostat. I can't imagine that those 3 things would make my check advanced trac light come on and make my car want to shift in Park. I emailed tuner company and the shop I go to. I'll call SCT on Monday either way car has been down for 2 weeks. Few months of saving and I might just put the Short Block engine in and start from scratch if this keeps up. Next step if new file doesn't work I'll have to pay out of pocket and take it to a performance shop and drop a grip!!! The SHO curse

Probably a stupid question, but which MAP sensor did you replace? The one on top of the intake, I hope? Not having the sensor in the right place, and loading the tune BEFORE the sensor swap will cause the problems you are seeing. There is always the possibility of bad hardware (i.e., the SCT tuner).

Did you backup the stock file after the dealer reflashed your SHO? If the strategy code was updated by the dealer reflash, and you used the OLD stock file to set the SHO back to stock, there's your problem. Like I said, once your tuner company knows what the current strategy code is, they can get you the correct stock tune, no problem.

Corruption can (most commonly) happen due to incomplete EMail transmission, bad memory in the tuning device, weak vehicle battery, or a failing PCM.

It may have the stock tune in it, you NEED to reinstall the 2bar sensor with the stock tune. It will not run otherwise.

In this order ... Picked up car from ford loaded new file on tuner at shop, took out battery and air box . Put on 3 bar map ontop of manifold the one with one torque screw, installed new plugs very carful not to cross thread. Then I put in new T stat. Then I loaded the tune. The tuner should of saved my stock file that's the only back up I had. Just had ecu reflashed a week ago and I gave the new ecu codes to 5 star to redo my tune. All my codes match up with the stock one and my tune. I'm really lost I did everything in the correct order .

Ya something did...I put the 2 bar back on with stock file and it purrs like a kitten !!!so it was the tune file that is corrupted phew nothing crazy....I just emailed 5 star hes' working with me on Sunday I say really good customer service. Lets hope I get this fixed today I suck with computers! hahha and I have a Mac I dont know if my x4 is compatible anyone know?

Ok thanks that's what I thought. Just did a quick test drive threw my head into the seat stock file on I de say she's good. Although I'm still confused about why my new 3 bar tune didn t load properly I'm sure ill figure it out today or tomorrow thanks for all the help you guys know a lot !

Just remember, 3 bar MAP sensor installed first, then tune. Expect some hard shifts as the PCM learns the tune and your driving style. Ask for the shift pressure to be lowered if the shifts don't get "better" with time.

The symptoms you experienced will happen (clunk and advance trac going crazy) if you have a 2 bar installed with a 3 bar tune. Don't ask me how I know. are you sure you got a 3bar??

lol I'm wondering that same thing I'm going to check the part number right now...got the tune to run right with the 2 bar only! I think maybe he didn't make it for a 3 bar and thought he did or LMS sent me the wrong part.

It's the right part number AA5A-9F479-AB. I think 5 star didn't make a 3 bar map and just did a 2??? not sure why I just emailed them.

Have to call LMS tomorrow they may of sent the wrong one it's not matching up with the invoice. says AA5z 3 bar map on the invoice from LMS, mine has the AA5A markings on top.

sweet thanks! I have the same box but the numbers don't match up. Now I just was told by the guy who tuned my car that I dont need this???!!! Why does everyone have 3 bars in? the tune pushes the PSI well over its 14.5 stock 2bar? LOOKS like I'm going to get that LMS tune after all......on the 1st payday
