I love the fact that the SHO is such a powerful large sedan, but like my mustang, I like to customize my vehicles without going overboard. My goal was to accent the car to make it look at least a little more like the performance vehicle it is. Sleepers are great but I prefer to SHO off what it is. Opinions are welcome. (Better pics to follow)

Well, sorry. I don't like it. But, if you do, that's all that counts.

Certainly different, that's for sure.

I hold no opinion. I think they'd have to grow on me personally.

I don't think they look either bad, or good.

Just kinda like eh.... what ev's.

Just an opinion.... I would try to incorporate that SHO fender decal into whatever I tried. I would start the stripe at the black bottom area under the door (so the rear stripe would be almost totally on the door), run it up with that SHO thing in the center and terminate the stripes in that raised section on the hood and have it black as well (at least the side of the raised section). It looks like that stripe would strike the raised section at the back of the hood at the windshield to give you that forward motion effect
Or not.
Just thinking.

imo, design accents should follow the overall lines and flow of the vehicle... or at least not contrary to them. If I had to do hash stripes on the fender like that, I'd prefer to see the hash stripes point the other direction, toward the driver/passenger. That angle would communicate speed more so than pointed towards the grille, since it would flow from the wheels towards the rear, as if being "left behind". Angling it towards the front may be more aggressive looking, but then you'd need a more aggressive graphic, like fangs. (But then you'd be a Civic owner, j/k.) Anyhow, just my opinion from an artist's point of view. See attached photoshopped copy for what I mean about reversing stripe direction.

I don't really think the Corvette Grand Sport fender stripes look quite right on an SHO. If I were doing stripes, I would prefer something down the hood more like heritage Mustangs than heritage Corvettes.

Interesting idea. I appreciate the input guys, even if its unpopular. The idea is to set my car apart from other SHO's.

Theres much debate as to the origin of the stripes, but they are definitely not Corvette RS exclusive. They have been used buy Maserati circa 1960 in racing as well as Carroll Shelby. Again I appreciate the opinions. At least I know I have something unique :)

Good point. Yes, there has been a lot of debate about the origin of those stripes. I always think of Corvettes, but I realize they were not the only ones nor the first.

I agree - I definitely prefer the classic racing stripes on a Mustang. Looks sharp from any angle.

Absolutely. And as one poster put it, all that really matters is that you like it. After all, if you decide later on that you would like something different, you can always change it. To each their own. Personally, for me, even though I love racing stripes on a Mustang, I prefer to leave my Ingot Silver SHO stripeless.

I prefer to keep my own car as high-class luxury sedan looking as possible for most occasions... fancy dinners, business meetings, etc. However, for car shows and track days (when I eventually do them lol) I had a custom Livernois Motorsports windshield banner created by Signazon that is identical to the one that Livernois sells, but 100% removable and reusable. (I bought one from Livernois first actually, but decided it's semi-permanence didn't meet my needs 100% so they gave me a digital source file for me to tweak and give to Signazon.)

So now I can have my high-class cake, my muscley pie, and eat them both!! ;) (Yum!) ...aka SHO-ing off x2. :woo-hoo:

The Grand Sport stripes are used on virtually everything in Kansas City. Not my thing.

At least I know what make my car is. Look at this ad from Craigslist for a Ford LTD and see if you can spot any issues. :snicker::laugh_ti:
