Event # 5 - First In Class, 6th Fastest overall time of the day, Fastest Prepared car. Car ran very well but this course was BUMPY. Still had a great time. Car is really cleaning up this season. Attendance was down a tad (We generally get 100+ Cars at this venue) but it was a tough crowd to keep up with! Still, the fourth fastest Fendered car (If you don't count the Karts) of the day, I'll take it!

Too cool! I honestly didn't think the Taurus platform could seriously compete like that. What kind of cars are you running against?

Click on the "Results" Link, it has them listed. =)

The cars that are ahead of me are VERY fast, very well prepped Miatas and a nicely prepped Honda S2000 CR (You'll also notice "PRO" in front of their class, basically meaning those guys are truly professionals at this sport, with a few wins/trophy's at National events). The shifter Kart's of course will also decimate everyone. The cars following in the Top 10 are a CRX that is prepped even more then my car (Except it weighs UNDER 2,000lbs) a Mildly modified Mazdaspeed 3 (Another Pro, with a Nationals win, guy is an incredible driver) and a C5 corvette on tires who is also a nationals winning driver. From 10th back everyone is close to a one second behind.

With that being said, this course while quick, favored some cars with softer suspension as some of the bumps were absolutely brutal. It may not seem like it on the video, but at times it felt like I was going airborne (40 second mark in the video).

In any case, My goal is to finish in the top 10 RAW (Overall) at every event, as the car that comes and runs my class just isn't fast enough to worry about (Just a lightly prepped gutted SN-95 on old tires). So far, I've had one Fastest Time of the day, A 3rd fastest time of the day, A 18th fastest time of the day (I hit a cone, if I had not it would have been 5th fastest time of the day), a 10th fastest time (Though a better driver got my car to 8th overall) and now a 6th. Here is this years RAW results so far.
