Had the SHO up on my lift today, rotating tires, and noticed that it was damp at drivers rear wheel. What the heck now?

Assumed that it might be brake fluid, but upon further inspection, the shock is all damp, and suspension below it, also.

Might as well order all four corners, and get it done.

Wouldn't it still be under bumper to bumper warranty with 40k?

A Lincoln MKS would be B2B still, but the SHO is now under powertrain warranty only. Unless an extended B2B was somehow finagled.

I have Eibachs on the rear.

I bought some type of extended warranty from Ford, but would have to dig out the paperwork to find out what the particilars are, as I dont recall.

I would think that shocks would be maintenance items and not covered, but will see.

Even if it is covered they may try to give you a hard time about the Eibach spring there. I have heard of lower springs putting more stress on shocks. But, I haven't heard of it on 10-12 SHO's yet. You may be the first. I more expected shock problems from H&R springs as they have more of a drop than Eibachs. Good luck getting a new one under warranty!

Just pulled my shocks/struts on Flex at 67K & replaced with Megan Adjustable Coilovers. All looked good. Had H & R's. did feel that fronts were softening up making springs more harsh however... but may have been my immagination. Probably a good idea to replace both rears at the same time, but if front struts feel and look OK, I would wait as they are much harder to replace.

It is a PP.

I only put the rear coils in, as I wanted to level the car out.

And, yes, both will be replaced at the same time.

Anyone recommend a quality replacement shock, or go back with factory?

I would probably put OEM back in. I think the '13 PP had different rear shocks. Maybe those would work for you. IDK but it would be worth checking out.
