Getting hung up on buying a car with all options ( just the way I typically do things).

Finding cars with everything I want BUT Contour seats?

So - question to you guys - are they worth it? Just trying to get some opinions here...

BTW - Power Package cars in 2014 are seeming hard to find in my 200 mile radius (Ohio).

Yes, I am now looking at 2014 - as I can get into one with rebates for a few extra dollars - still looking at 2013 but the pricing is really close on new left over.. outside of the demo I found. I missed on 3 cars - they were either already sold and being used as advertising bait or just unlucky :)

Thanks in advance .... I must be getting serious because I just detailed the F-150 today.... (my trade)..... even considering non-power package if totally loaded ... but I am just not sure about that decision ..

Thanks for the venting/counseling :)

You have probably seen the big debate over PP. I'll leave that alone except to say you'd be very happy with or without it. As far as the seats go, I never use them. They are probably nice to have for long excursions. The first time I experienced them on my car, I was fiddling with the buttons and turned it on. I almost flew out of my seat when I got stabbed in the rear end. For me, they are not necessary.

^^^ Agree. It was cool at first to show people but the novelty has worn off for me. Don't turn down a great car just because it does not have this feature.

I agree with the above. The only time I use the multi-contour seats is on long road trips.

I have the PP (2011 model year) and if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably have gone without the PP but with the 20" wheels. I would like to feel safe driving the car in the occasional surprise snowfall and wouldn't mind a slightly softer ride.

My 2010 has the 402A package that include the MC seats. I drive 100 per day and I do use them - not all the time though.

My car does not have the PP and it handles very nicely. It is pretty stiff and I notice this most when taking the "back roads" home instead of the highway.

Good luck on the decision and I hope to see you at the picnic.

What kind of prices are you seeing on '14s?

I'm finding 2013's for under $30K with under 20k miles.

Example: '13 PP w/ everything (moonroof, mc seats, voice nav), 20K miles. $28,664. Of course loose adaptive cruise/collision warning with PP.

This one is in your woods (OH). Have you checked it out yet?

I wouldn't pay more than $29K for a '13 currently. fully loaded and under 20k miles.

Forgot to mention, pics show Michelin tires on this guy. So owner or dealer swapped them, which is a plus in my books! (don't want summer tires)

Yeah, best used car for the money, IMO. But we all know people weren't paying sticker for these cars. Discounts up to 8k and sometimes more were available.

Used fully loaded 13's weren't this cheap when I was looking for them back in June/July, which is why I bought mine new. And you're right...coupled with Ford's crazy rebates, dealer rebates, and what I saved using USAA...I paid way under MSRP for mine.

I'm sorry, I'm not taking less than book for mine ($34,500) and the one like the OP posted just makes it hard for us to get book value. I mean, would 15k miles difference really matter to anyone when they're saving $6k?

Guess I'll just hold out and hope our book value levels off.
