Helloooooo again:)
Need your advice again, now I have moved on to the pressure line for the PS pump, which had to be cut off old pump.

I followed cable down, found where it goes on driver side of car. Manual says "remove shift linkage mount bracket" to gain access to high pressure line at gear housing and shows a picture that looks nothing like my car. .. no mount bracket to be found.....no room for any kind of tool to remove line.... what am I missing?

Any advice? The book gives me a headache almost as big as the car and if I get my hair caught in the creeper one more time...........
Just trying to figure the best way to get there.... and get this done......

The manual you have...what year is it for? I'm wondering if it is referring to the shifter cables/brackets for the early MTXs.

The cable on an ATX is on the top of the trans, but I don't think it'll get in the way.

Access is abysmal at best, from my experience, but that wasn't on an ATX either.

I have the actual shop manual from ford, service manual, only one I could find ten years ago cost me 350 bucks, cover says 1993 Taurus sable service manual. I was wondering if the pic was a mtx pic cause it doesn't really match up with what im looking at. I know its a pipe dream, but I was hoping this would be quick and easy...

I guess I should mention, sine the book does not, the shift linkage mount bracket is found on the top of the engine,

I was looking from the bottom the whole time. I guess the hair dye only hides the blonde lmfao hahahaha

well, someone is friendly

The one power steering line that I replaced leaked, so hopefully yours didn't.

We're all here to help, especially when someone actually knows how to type in English that we can understand.

Yay:) I love english:)
Its been a long two days for me out side...... I got the crows foot socket and that seems to be the only thing I can get around the angle of the fitting bolt but it just won't crack loose. When I started this it was only the vss, cam seals and pump......turns into new speedo cable, new pressure hose, you know the story.
As of right now it sits with timing off cause I just put them camsprockets back on, getting ready to clamp and hex timing belt tensioner again cause the husband pulled it out .... anything will help on how to get this dam line off, cause after all is said and done that's the only thing I cannot accomplish. I've tried wd40 and some other expensive ass penetrating oil that works wonders on everything else.... any way to just take that whole electronic unit out that the pressure line links to?

Long hair can be dangerous. May want to try a hair net. [Type kitchen personnel use]. They are cheap and effective. When I do service work on my customers kitchen I have to wear one. [I make a living working on commercial kitchen items]. Maurice

Can you get a wrench on it? You're giving up leverage with the crow's foot, especially if you're using an extension. If no wrench, then try a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter with the crow's foot.

Yeah trying with an extension, but using multiple smaller pieces to make one big piece to reduce flexing.....
Is it best to hit this from the top or bottom or through driver side tire? Thanks in advance slo sho:)
