First off I'm sorry if this is a repost or in the wrong section. I'm stealing my buddy's ID to ask some questions about his car. As some of you probably know we replaced the starter and relay and now the car has no power to the interior. It has power to the relay and alternator and power from all the wires from the starter relay to the harness. No power from the firewall tunnel to the interior connections though... I have yet to check power to the EEC because it looks like it may be a ***** to back probe.

Sorry for the essay but what I really need is a very detailed diagram, I have the factory manual and the vacuum/wiring trouble shooting book. But honestly the diagrams provided in those seem pretty worthless. I just need to find all the locations of fusible links within the harness and hopefully the one link that is causing all of these problems.

Before anyone starts poking holes; all the wire connections and locations are in the proper spots, all grounds have been cleaned and properly mounted, battery is at 12.56v and power to the relay is 12.55v.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,
Thanks
-John

All fusible links are right next to their source of power, which in this case is the solenoid on the fender well. They are funky looking wrapped with tape affairs, sometimes with heat shrink. In 99.95 of the cases where the fusible link has blown, the damage is visible on the outside.

Use a VOM to probe for 12 volts through the insulation, before (right at the terminal it shares with the positive battery cable on the solenoid) and then along it's path to the firewall or wherever it goes.

If you have the Factory EVT Manual, that is the best diagram you will get.

Actually, I have a giant set of factory wiring diagrams for the entire car. They fold out to 22"x17" sized pages. I have never seen another set of them.

Haha, I have a set like that also but it takes up too much desk space to use. I should sell them to someone with space, huh?

If I could find enough wall space for a 13x19 diagram, a pic of an overly enowed swimsuit model is going there.

I have a set of those for the '93 model year Taurus.

I've been trying to come up with a way to digitize it for years.
