I was watching u.s. marshalls on t.v. and noticed that they are using gen 4 taurus's already in n.y.c. and also in the u.s. marshalls office There was a few very short shots of the cars on the show doing surveilence and also transporting the captured, the 1t hey showed most was silver and had cop lights hidden on both top sides of the front and rear windshields!

Yes, they are using the Taurus Fleet model. Not a police model, but just a base package available for commercial fleets, taxis and rental fleets.

I was also informed that the Crown Vic's in PA will be replaced with the new taurus.

Yeah i saw a police officer using a Gen4 SEL in Vegas when i was there. Wasn't impressed

Several departments are actually stocking up on CVs before production ends. I saw an article that the PD in Austin, TX is anteing up $4.5M to buy 170-ish CVs, and a friend of mine in Kansas says the Kansas HiPo is buying a bunch too, to be done up in vintage KHP livery, complete with gumball lights.

I also had someone on another forum tell me that one of the Canadian provinces (I want to say it was either Quebec or Ontario) has been running 4th Gen SHOs in their HiPo-equivalent for awhile now.

Yup you are right! I live in ontario and The o.p.p. have been testing them in full trim, I know the local police here as well are getting them!

I did see that the OPP were involved in testing and evaluating the Gen IV with some of our cop friends from the south.

Next time I bump into one of our local constabulary I'll ask them too. It's likely to make an appearance in Waterloo Region also.

Great to see another local, Viper -- I'm in Cambridge and visit your fair city occasionally, including Performance Improvements on SilverCreek pkwy as well as friend's, and various parks and facilities throughout the city.

Would be great to hook up sometime and talk Taurus and Forums.

Nice to see another member so close by! I am unfortunatly no longer a sho owner and am kickin myself in the ass for selling it! I did however get to take pictures which i think are on this forum? Of my gen 3 parked next to a nice red gen 4 when it came out 2 years ago, was the 1st gen 4 sold in this area! i had to sell my baby to make my bussiness larger and make more money, i miss it terribly! Just before i sold it me and some other members from the other sho fourm toured up to hanover for the sho meet and bbq, was fun times!

I've seen at least one GEN IV here in north Cambridge and it's identical to the one I ordered and hope to take delivery of soon. Mine was ordered Dec. 21 but of course was delayed by the events in Japan and other things.

Hope to hook up sometime this summer and I've spoken to Marcel in Hanover and hope to see him this summer too.
I'll be sure and holler when my SHO does finally arrive.

I occasionally see Jason at Performance Improvements on Silvercreek N. Not sure if you know him.

Ride-along time!

Our agency is ordering up 6 of the new Taurus PI's and 3 of the new Explorer PI's.

Budget just went into effect May 1st, so I don't really know how long it will take from order placement to actual delivery, but I will def post up some pics of ours whenever they hit the street.

They'll still have to get equipped with all of our gear and get striped, etc.
