how many times are you guys going to make him say he does not know how much it will be till its ready. general research says 4-5K so assume it is that and if it is less you can buy a good set of tires.

don't mean to sound rude but he is being asked the same thing over and over and over. Any time I see a new post in this thread I always check because I want to see some progress and I am always disappointed by seeing the same banter.

see I had to check this thread AGAIN because there are new posts. This is not a thread for useless banter. save that for the chatroom or the off topic discussion. It would make me super happy if the next post in this thread is the OP saying it is done with details on the group buy. Any questions you could POSSIBLY have already been answered in this thread many many times over. For those of us interested in the kit this is annoying. 13 pages of information and probably 5 posts of solid information.

Exactly.

The oil lines are finished and I need to get a baseline dyno. The shop is backed up but working on the tooling. Once that is done we can get a working setup going.

We have the oil lines, just need to trim down a little. We have started tooling.

Got the hoses as well.

We are starting tooling. The basic setup is done, just some small details left.

Hopefully will be dynoing tomorrow.

The tooling is in progress right now. I think the 1st jig is done or will be done shortly.

Not trying to be an ass but what is tooling exactly?

Jig to control the piping so each turbo pipe comes out the same as the next one. Once the tooling is done a test pipe is made to make sure it matches up as designed and any tweaks are done. From there the test SHO will get a final production part and we can test the turbo setup.

The tooling is almost done. The dyno is done and I have the needed flanges coming in.

So we are moving forward.

Stock SHO dyno, for before and after results.

So once I have the turbo on Ill be doing some dyno tuning.

Is there any way to go with option 1 and instead of tapping into the oil feed lines and oil pan, put in a small reservoir of about 2 quarts and a cooler down near the power steering one?

I've heard of some turbos bearings being able to act like an oil pump to suck up oil...

I'm a FI n00b, so forgive my ignorance.

This would be a simple way to not drill into the oil pan, and maybe safer?

That would be awsome IMO.

The traditional way is much easier than you probably think and very safe if done correctly.

That would be awsome IMO.

Tapping into the oil pan is safe and has been done many times. We will be providing the needed parts and we can even drill and weld your oil pan.
