I'd like to see the 2012 have better brakes as the article mentions. 400 HP from the factory would be great as well.

Different headlights?

Doubt it. Thats a pretty expensive change, and the Taurus has only been out two years. They could change them from chrome to brushed or something darker but I cant see them changing the whole housing.

The article does mention new headlights, but they could call changing the color "new" I suppose. There looks to be some sort of change, otherwise why cover them up? I'm liking the new grill already.

Agreed. Whenever I apply the brakes on my 2010, there is a serious "lack of confidence" feeling. Most of the Taurus's I have seen that have been in accidents have front end damage....that usually means to much texting, or a braking problem.

It seems that they won't up the ponies until the binders are better to my mind.
Since we want more power let's hope Ford improves the brakes at the same time.

Front end damage: could be people's love of tailgating more than anything else, coupled with distractions such as texting, phoning, movies, radio, kids, food, coffee, shaving etc etc....
The number of people who tailgate is getting atrocious and extremely dangerous.

Boy, amen, I agree with you. It's funny how many people feel the brakes are lacking in the SHO. After driving a Ford truck for over 10 years, again I think the brakes are a BIG step up from the truck. However, I will temper this statement that I really haven't driven anything performance oriented in many years to compare with the SHO. I still think the brakes are much better then the last of the Crown Vics I drove as cruisers before I retired.

I've not got the SHO yet, MJ, but I do have something to compare it to when it does come: my IS-F ...... I'm not expecting miracles but the SHO brakes better be somewhere in the ballpark or Ford's going to hear about it.
There's no reason these days for the SHO's brakes to be lacking in any way.
We'll see.
I just wish my car would hurry up and come so I can really get into it.
Patience patience patience........

In daily driving the brakes on the SHO, even without the performance pack are ok. Any aggressive driving and they go to crap fast.

Not very good is it especially on a $50k+ car.

Won't affect me much since I'm not very 'aggressive' any more but some drivers might be. The SHO is somewhat sporty isn't it......

To the New Generation crowds; don't flame me, but not having the ordinary stick shift makes it not that appealing on these new SHOs. Plus they jack up the price as if they are trying to sell some luxury vehicle or something. Am I missing something here? Did our real SHO Enthusiasts change the way they want from the SHOs or many of you just get rich from this economy? :braincramp:
