To the New Generation crowds; don't flame me, but not having the ordinary stick shift makes it not that appealing on these new SHOs. Plus they jack up the price as if they are trying to sell some luxury vehicle or something. Am I missing something here? Did our real SHO Enthusiasts change the way they want from the SHOs or many of you just get rich from this economy? :braincramp:

Ford will probably NOT make the SHO a manual, EVER. Not enough demand to market an entire new tranny for just a few people. This topic has been on table since day one.
And as for the price of the SHO, the 1989 SHO was about $20,000. I still have a window sticker showing a 1997 SHO was @ $32,000/$33,000. For the cost of inflation over the past 13 or so years, the cost difference isn't really changed much if you look at it like that.
EVERYTHING has gone up in price. Milk, gas, bread, cars, etc. Everything except some folk's paychecks. Employers tend to be a bit behind on that part of the inflation category. And as for the SHO enthusiasts changing the way they like their cars, it would be interesting to know how many original SHO owners from 1989-1999 actually have a 2010+ SHO. Perhaps they don't like the way the car has evolved, but Ford seems to have a hit on their hands. Only time will tell though if the SHO fades away like it did back in 1999.
Black is beautiful isn't it......After seeing that pic I'm beginning to really like it.
I hear you mj, and yes I've had black.....loved it but not liked the TLC necessary to keep it lookin' good.Sure is, but after the care and feeding of my dark blue Lincoln with lots of chrome, I know how hard it is to keeping those dark colors looking good. I'm happy that I don't have a color that requires that daily once over to look good.
