I am changing out my rear exhaust hanger that sits behind the driver door and i got the two bolts off that hold the bracket on and the rubber hanger put how do you get the rubber hanger off the braket and the new one on there? It looks like a solid rod through the braket with no way of removing it. Thankyou in advance

You have a text...

Like I said there, cut the rod out, drill out the ends and replace it with a bolt. Should work.

You may have wanted to put a nut on both sides of the bracket to lock it in. Or just tack weld the nut to the bolt so it doesn't back off.

Its not that hard to just buy a 5$ rubber hanger and 35 cents for a bolt and nut. Cut it with a sawzall and then drill it out. But then again i didnt know they sold it as a whole for 10$. The hardest part is undoing the 2 bolts because having sfc and limited room its almost impossible to get a wrench up there

Some BS. Called around and found none at any ford dealership. Ground the end off so that I could pull the rod up. Going to a local auto parts store tomorrow.

Just do what i did. take a sawzall and cut that bar off. then take a drill and drill a hole all the way through and then but a nut washer and bolt on there.
