well the stock injectors maxed out at 5500 rpm and the maf maxed out and 6000rpm,
5 psi on a very slightly tweaked stock tune.

So now im waiting on a 90mm maf next week and ill be installing the 30lbers in the morning and trying to dial them in for now.

Waste your time with free parts I had in my garage ? Opposed to spending 400$ on new injectors you mean ? Plus I can use all the time to learn turning .

Waste ... I don't think so .

I think he was under the assumption you were buying the 30's and was trying to make the point not to buy them twice to save you some money. I am sure he didn't mean that in a offensive way.

I can't say I have come across a oil fouled maf causing a miss fire like that but my setup was very different from yours. If it helps any you can unplug your maf and drive the car around perfect if that is the case. It will not richen it for boost though and at about 2psi the engine will cut out entirely... That was on my ATX at least so the computer is setup a bit differently. Just a side note that has gotten me home a few times when I blew charge pipes on my draw through setup. It might help get you home without washing the cylinder walls with fuel (assuming a rich condition?) if that happens again to you.

Damn dude I bit on edge from last minute shopping. All I was simply implying was that u will most likely max those out soon. Was not an insult on your build in anyway. And yes I still thinks its a small waste.....b/c it take time to install and then reinstall new injectors, and very simply... why do things twice?. You might know this but my suggestion would just get some green tops (42's) and just use them. They can be had cheaply (around $200) and will support more alot more hp, more than ur turbo can flow.

Why waste your time s/c a Taurus ?
I plan on getting 48's after upgrading the Maf next .

Me being a smartass ;)

Cause I wanna go fast, not slow. And one day go even faster. My s/c has PLENTY of room for engine/fuel upgrades.

Thanks I wasn't trying to be snappy or a ass sorry was drinking early :) . I don't think it's a waste because it takes me 20 mins to swap injectors not a big deal . I'm def aware that they will max out soon but my plan the whole time was use what I got til it's maxed then upgrade .
Where did you find 42's for 2 bills ? The mustang kits that come with Maf and 42's from ford racing ?

Merry Xmas

Mustang forums eBay they are always popping up, they always upgrading.

How do you make the mustang injectors work? I thought the tips were different on the flow side of the injector "fuel side" ? And what was the air fuel with the stock injectors and meter, one more question, did you use the stock maf as a blow thru or draw thru set-up?? Thanks man and sorry for all the questions. Im used to working with 5.0 mustangs and turbos,, I have run a set of 42lb inj. with a calibrated maf meter and never touched the computer on a 5.0 mustang. And the idle , and street manners was perfect. The fuel pressure was manual adjusted to 42psi from the stock 38-39psi and the maf meter was a pmas blow thru. car made 490rwhp with 2 small garretts. My a/f was getting lean at 5400rpm, but the motor made 311rwhp before the turbos, boost was set to 8-10spi ,,, so now I have a 95 sho and looking to run a single turbo on it. This is a good write up a turbo sho build, toolman's is awesome too! Thanks for any advice you can throw my way-

I modded thunderbird Supercoupe injectors, I removed a piece of the top of the injector and then used different / multiple O-rings.

I ran the stock maf (55mm) in draw thru . It was already maxing out in the upper revs at 5psi.

I have a mustang as well that is getting boost soon :)
