Check to see if you have an oil leak between the tranny and oil pan. There's a design flaw in the engine that causes the oil pan to leak at the front end of the rubber gasket, tranny end.

If that happens, oil gets into the bell housing and between the quill tube and TOB. The oil attracts dirt which builds up and makes the clutch pedal stiff to operate. Solution is to reseal the oil pan and remove the tranny to clean out the bell housing.

I have no oil leak there.

When i did my clutch, put new cable in...3 months later it was hanging up real bad. changed it out again....all better. I can probably do one in 20-30min now.

I'm on my third clutch cable 15 min change out in advanced auto parking lot. First time took 40 min tho.... plus the 20 min it took to find my screwdriver that I threw when I sliced my finger open :fit:
