Hello,
So I was driving my car home from work and the cps quit and I had to tow it home. It sat for a month or so and then while loading it onto a U-Haul trailer to get it to the shop, I noticed the clutch pedal has no pressure behind it, just goes straight to the floor. The cable seems ok for the most part, I’m at a loss of what/where to look. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Also- there weren’t any transmission or clutch problems while I was driving it daily (just your typical 90s car grinding in reverse, sometimes can be a PIA to get into first when it’s cold then it eases up), only when loading it onto the trailer did I notice this.

Sounds like the cable isn't attached or possibly broken. You say the cable seems OK. Is it still attached to the transmission? If so, try pulling up on the pedal up reset the quadrant.

Yes it’s connected in the transmission end and also on the pedal end. I tried adjusting the pedal but I don’t hear any ratcheting

It also appears that the arm coming out of the transmission is pulled towards the driver fully, I can pull it towards the front of the car

Then what you are probably dealing with is a bad pressure plate. Sounds like the throw out bearing has worn thru the pressure plate fingers. Might just be a coincidence that it went out at the same time.

Damn ok. So the transmission will need to come out and it’ll need a clutch/tob/pressure plate?

If you can move the shift fork back and forth without removing the clutch cable then you have something broken. The trans will need to come out.
