Bored now
Thanks Silverknight for spurring me into getting this going!
Reservations are now MADE at the Bavarian Inn for our annual Christmas meet (has it really been going on for seven years now??). Believe it or not quite a few of the time slots have already been taken, so to allow folks ample time to shop and explore, this year the dinner will be just a little bit later. Here are the details:
When: Saturday, December 11th
Where: Bavarian Inn, Frankenmuth MI.
Time: 5:30pm-???
As always, we'll meet up in the north lot at Bronner's Christmas World, which is just south of Frankenmuth. For anyone who's never been to this place, trust me when I say you positively cannot miss it.
Tradition has folks spending the day in and around Frankenmuth--there's the Prime Outlets mall right off I-75 at the Birch Run/Frankenmuth exit. There's downtown Frankenmuth, which of course has my favorite place, the Cheese Haus. There's a great antiques store en route from I-75 to Frankenmuth that's right off the main road, and then there's Bronner's Christmas World, the largest Christmas store in the world. This place will make anyone feel like they're 10 years old, and this time of year it's just a magical place. The whole town is, for that fact... maybe that's why we've been doing this for 7 years
Anyone thinking about coming in from out of town, there are several places to stay, including the Bavarian Inn itself. There's also a neat hotel/indoor waterpark that's right next to Bronners. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY event
Right now, reservations are for 18 people. I can scale that up or down over the next three weeks or so, but I'll need a DEFINITE RSVPs no later than Dec. 1st!
Some people in the past have brought small gifts to pass around. That is NOT a requirement by any means, but if you feel so inclined they won't be turned away. I try to dig up stuff to pass around--last year Ford and Winding Road were nice enough to provide me with Taurus SHO hats and T-shirts for everyone. Not sure if I can make that happen again this year, but I'll do my best!
Post up your RSVP here, the earlier the better so I can (hopefully) get more goodies for everyone
See you all in about a month!
