Just finished doing the paperwork on a 2011 SHO. I take delivery Thursday and am very excited.

2011 Tri-white with black/umber interior. Adaptive Cruise and nav.

Paid $500 over invoice and did a lease. The lease residuals on the SHO are really good and the money factor was less than 1%.

I am coming into the car out of an FJ cruiser as a daily driver. Will be nice to sit down low again and have all the bells and whistles at my fingertips. Frankly I was just going to lease a Limited to keep the payments down. But the SHO, with a higher sticker actually had a lower lease payment because of the better residuals.

I certainly don't mind having the extra power, but I have a track/weekend car that makes the SHO look slow and ponderous. I wanted a q ship that could seat five adults, handle the kids hockey gear. I think I got it.

How do you figure the taurus is more refined than the vette? I would go the oposite way. The engine in the vette is far more refined and gets great gas mileage too. Skid pad test no question the vette. These are refined items in my book.

The room issue I agree with you. If you need a car that seats 4 and have to trade away from the vette for the 4 seats and want to save some driving excitment then one can make a case for the SHO. But there are other 4 seat cars that have more spirit in them than the SHO does.

Sounds like it's his opinion and since he owned a vette I think it's okay for him to make that call.

refined as in road noise, comfort of the seats that have a/c and heat that message me, sync, stuff like that sure my vette was faster better mpg but over all my SHO is so much better to ME as my daily driver with all the comfort features that it has. I already put on 1,100 miles on it in a month and do not regret trading in the vette.

I have both.... They are different cars. I wouldn't take the SHO to the track in place of the Vette, and I wouldn't take the Vette out on a double date with another couple. They both have their own strong points....I love both cars. The SHO is a more comfortable cruiser, but when I want to DRIVE I take the Vette. When I want a little more comfort but still have a little scoot when I want it.....the SHO gets the call.....

I here you when i'm feeling the need for some real speed and fun I have my FZ-1. I had the vette for 3 yrs only put 15k on it so figured have my bike for when I get the speed itch and now the SHO is more practical since still 5 of us and was tired of always taking the truck when all of the family had to fit.

I think we all agree that the SHO is a great cruiser with some cajones to keep things exciting. I find it interesting that we all have a second car to satisfy our need for speed. Personally I have an '02 911 turbo to take to the track and tear up the country roads. However, with a wife and kids and sports gear and frequent long trips, the SHO is the ideal companion.
