What's up guys and gals. Been wanting a SHO for about a year now and I've been researching the whole time lurking around here and being impressed with Livernois Motorsports.
Well I finally got my SHO on Sunday. 2014 with 9,300 miles. Now it's time for me to have fun with this thing and learn from your guys mistakes :p on how to get the most out of my SHO without breaking anything lol. I do have the upgraded 8yr/100,000 mile warranty. This car also won't ever be my daily driver so hopefully I can keep the miles low and just have fun with it on certain days.

I'm 35 and married and live in the SW burbs of Chicago. Operating Engineer at Mccormick Place. 2 girls 12 and 13 and a lovely wife. Any of you in my situation know sometimes you gotta save and be patient for your upgrades as for me family always comes first.

Other things im interested in? Craft beer, brewing beer, Pc gaming (counter-strike), culinary, fish keeping husbandry (African cichlids)

So really I'm just introducing myself but hey any tips on upgrades would also be great. Really interested in Livernois tune and CAI to start. Any suggestions or tips on owning a SHO?

Welcome to SHOmania, and congrats on the '14! Did you get the performance package? You will find yourself all alone in the windy city, with nary a SHO to be seen to the horizon & yonder ... NOT!!! Good idea to get the extended warranty, sounds like you are in for the long haul :) I guess no more rewards for you until the warranty expires!!!

Here's what the performance upgrade BFYB list looks like:

Coilovers are not yet available for the 13+, sadly.

Make sure the recalls are performed. Check out what's applicable to your SHO over at http://owner.ford.com or http://www.etis.ford.com

Thanks for the welcome. How do I know if it's the performance package? I was under the impression that the ones with the 20" rims did have the performance package and without was normal. What can I look for to know for sure?

Hmm looks like two telling signs are the 20" wheels and the suede steering wheel which I have both.

If you've got a suede Alcantara steering wheel then you've got a PP. You can get 20" wheels on anything so that really isn't telling. You should also have a taction /advance trac button on the console next to the rear window shade that you can hold down (while in park, foot on the brake) for 5-10 seconds that will completely disable Advance Trac. Have fun!

Lol I don't even know where the rear window shade is but I know I have one cuz it was on the portions list. I'll have to look when I get home. Thanks
