Hey guys/gals,
I know we chatted a little before about a meet here at my place. Just wanting to see what kind of time frames you guys may have for October. Saturday or Sunday? I tossed it out there on the Gen 4 section for Kirk and the NESHO guys and he would like to stop on by too if time allows.

If we need to, it can possible go into November but I can't recall for the life of me how the weather was last year. I do know it was warm on Halloween last year. So, give me some ideas gang. We have a perfect spot for some photos up in the high rise of the parking garage near what it is now called Town Center. It's where my pics of the s/c gen 3 came from.

We'll do the cookout thing again and sit back & talk SHOs and see how many folks we can cram in the blown Gen 3 to see how "slow" we can make it. :naughty: Let me know what you guys/gals think. It'll obviously be here before we know it. :swing:

Halloween must have been fairly warm last year, I seem to remember shorts and short sleeves incorporated into my costume.

Whether it be at ****'s (preferable to me due to distance), JD's as usual, or wherever else count me in! I'm not going to commit yet though, I'm already taking a weekend off for Hershey the first weekend in October so I'll have to see if I can take more time in October off, I should be able to.

Whew, thought for a moment it was only gonna be Andi, Jamie and myself at the meet. Terry can't do the 30th, so no sweat there. Luckily we have 5 weeks in that month so that still leaves us with 4. Are there any other dates that some of you guys/gals cannot make?? And would this be better for y'all on a Saturday or a Sunday? IIRC, we have had meets before on either day. Sam, Ashley, DJ, John, etc. where you guys at??

The nearest drag strip from me is Hertford, NC or Dinwiddie, VA. Hertford is I think like 50 mins from here, but could be wrong. I know Dinwiddie is close to 2 1/2 hours away. I'm not sure of their schedules, but if we going to the strip, I'm taking my Lightning, forget the SHOs. :naughty:

I would not bring the Gen 4 either if I was scared that it was going to get owned by a Tin can of a green 92. ;)

If its a Full 1/4 Mile drag strip, I'm in. I'll even do 1/8th but we all know the SHO prefers the 1/4.

I'll be heading to the dragstrip hopefully in the next month, We'll see...the 92 needs a lot of little things (Not really, I'm just looking for excuses not to spend money on it right now).

Shoot Sam, I'll whoop ya in the Gen 3 there dawg! haha! J/K. It would be cool to bring any of mine out there really but as for you guys, I worry about any of you guys driving a distance and then beating the snot of your rides and having an issue getting back home. I'm gonna try to get access to my buddy and his truck and trailer for my Lightning, but who knows. It is just a 1/8 mile tho Sam, which sux, but what can ya do? I would love for a 1/4 mile run for sure too. :naughty:

Since Jamie can't make it the 1st week of October, and Terry the end of the month, that still leaves us with 6 days open. I'm figuring a Saturday, what do y'all think?? I'll try to get into contact with the guys at the track and see what openings they have and see what the cost would be. Damn, I forget about the cost thing. :nut: Their website sux BAD, and there are no schedules that I could see. Our luck, October would be a no-go. Let me know what is going thru your heads now and if anyone else knows the folks at the Hertford track, by all means, talk to 'em.

Sounds good. Unless we have a great debate, Sunday will be the day. Now we gotta figure out our schedules for everyone. We have the 10th, 17th and 24th open then. Anyone object to this and which date would y'all prefer? Check your schedules and post em up gang. :sun:

UPDATE ON TRACK STATUS: Just talked to the guy down there. Kinda no help really, as I asked him what his schedule looked like in October and he wanted to tell me about this month for some odd reason and September. Anyway, he wants to know how many cars and what we would be interested in doing. I said we'd end up having the car show here in VA, then use the track for some 1/8 mile runs. Needless to say, sounds like he's wanting to see how many cars we would have and if its worth his while opening the track that day. Thats the impression I'm getting. Of course, he didn't give me prices either. Grrrr! I'll ask my Mustang guys what normally goes on when they are down there running. So far it aint looking good guys.

Hey Guys(and Gals),

I just remembered that the Southeast region of TCCA is scheduling an outing to run Tail of the Dragon on October 22-24, 2010. Don't know if this may be a scheduling conflict for anyone. :salute:
