I was under the car yesterday when i noticed I can see the teeth of my fly wheel.

Then I found some post about a dust shield. I'm assuming mine is missing from the last time the morons at Ford replaced the oil pan gasket. That was at least 25K miles and 3 years ago!!

I'm doing the oil pan gasket sometime in the next couple weeks. Is it worth getting one or is the damage, if any, already done?

As long as you don't make a habit of driving way to fast on gravel roads, I think you can go a hundred more years without that inspection cover.

Ah, good deal.

I don't even drive down DIRT roads with my car. She stays way too clean for that.

Thanks!:omgsho:

I'm not comfortable doing them myself, but I don't have the money to pay somebody else right now.

You just need to go ahead and do it....Don't be so scared. I'm going to be doing mine here shortly. I just need to get that Y-Pipe to a muffler shop to have them weld it up.

All I know is that is I sling a rod right now, it was just it's time.

But if it slings one AFTER I do the RB's, I'll know it was my fault. Can't risk it.....

I'll think about it.

I have access to a lift and a full set of tools including air tools (neighbor), so I should be set.

****, I even have a shop manual!

We'll see.........
