I have a 92 MTX sho that has an exhaust leak on the Y-pipe at the seem that connects the cat and the pipe. Is this worth bringing to a shop to reweild it? It seems like a lot of work to take off and weild and put back on just encase the problem isnt fixed. What are your concerns? Really what im asking is if i should just replace it or try to salvage it. Its a performance plus Y-pipe btw.

Thanks, Stephen P.

Remove it yourself and drive it up to a shop, I was charged a case of ice cold water for this service (it was hot out and there was a broken water main so the shop had no water)...LOL.
