Got bored the other day while my boys were outside playing so I decided to start polishing parts. I used a Dremel and my hand to do the TB.

Sweet! I've been thinking about polishing my project intake instead of paint. What kind of Dremel bits did you use?

Love the look! Any internal work on the motor or all original?

I need a dremel to finish mine up.

I'll loan you my dremel and buy you extra necessary bits if you want to polish mine too

That TB looks great, nice work. About how long would you estimate it took you to complete that?

is it a very long and drawn out process to polish a TB you think Tom? i assume you polished yours? i know the intake is a very involved process from previous discussion with you.

I started on the TB on the Other Woman with a 4" cotton cloth with green aluminum polish but quickly realized the error of my ways and took it to Fernando's Metal Polishing. Twenty dollars later it were belong to me!

It took me about 3 hrs, but I didn't pull the TB off the car. I have another 3-4 hrs worth of work to put in it.

I haven't been to Fernando's in years. I don't even know if he's still in business. I'm going to throw an intake and set of valve covers in my work truck and the next time I'm in town will swing by his old location and see if he's still there. If he is, I'll get a quote from him.

You know what customers were his bread and butter? Hummer parts. Lots and lots of Hummer parts.
