Its a V6, glass packs will sound like crap! It will sound like a heard of bees coming at you.

I have cherry bombs on my turbo coupe. They don't sound bad at all not as load as i thought and the turbo pretty much kills any rasp. It's 2.50 with
no cat.

I would not put glass packs on a turbo charged car vibrant makes a good line of mufflers that sound great on turbo charged engines. As for trying to make a exhaust for these cars the bigger the better, the main problem that you will face is the turbos will spool up to fast and over boost. If you are planing on going with a bigger turbo down the road then I would make sure that the exhaust will have little to no back pressure and use the turbo as the muffler then just get some resonators to keep the sound down. Your best bet on getting a exhaust for these cars would be to buy the mufflers and resonators that you want and then have them put on at a exhaust shop. there is not much bending so it should not cost that much to do.

If anyone was still wondering the Borla exhaust is now available. I had sent a request before I knew of the NESHO version and had received an email update.

.....I still haven't been able to find the part on Borla's site yet.

Does anyone happen to have a part #, or contact person, or ****, how about just a hyperlink to the product itself?

$1,300 is about what I had paid for my Borla exhaust on my old Show Charger, so I'm comfortable with this price point.

Thanks to anyone who can assist! :thankyou:

The part no. is Part# 140337. The link to the page on Borla's website is http://www.borla.com/products/product_detail.aspx?prod_sku=140337&ref=cat Summit probably will have it available sometime soon and might be a couple hundred off list. There's no picture of the catback on the site yet though.

If you want a little "GROWL", do what I did on EcoBoost Flex. Install a pair of Magnaflows and use stock tips. Satin ones, which I painted black, like stock, were installed for $300. Polished would have been about $30. more, but I wanted stealth. Didn't mess with intermediate/resonator-muffler as I have done on my 2 Pontiac G8's. Flex is much quieter, likely because of turbo's, and NO DRONE..... At highway speeds you can't hear them at all. Perfect setup for me, as this is our long haul cruiser. Know it doesn't add HP... but at least you can hear engine and tranny shifts!

the one part up at the front, is that the cat?

Doesn't look like a cat. Just guessing, it's a muffler and the back ones are resonators. This system might have the sound I'm looking for. I was looking for dealers for Borla, Summit carries them and I also found Southern Car Parts. They look like they might be a little bit cheaper than Summit. If the Mustang catbacks are any indication on a discount, Southern might have the Borla system for around $1100 for the SHO. I'm on the fence though, I'd have to hear one before I even consider doing it.

Wait a minute, you guys are worried about losing bottom end?! SERIOUSLY?! Don't you make like 350ft lbs out the hole?! Isn't this ecoboosts' torque band so flat you can place an imaginary dinner for a family on it?!

Geez.. Sounds like you guys need a 7spd MTX to compensate for all that "torque loss" with higher RPM launches! :D I feel so BAD for you! hehe..

Sorry, my humor is only meant to humor me.. Sometimes. Right Kirk?! :D

I called Borla and asked about a sound bite. He said they don't provide that on the website, but look for one on something like You Tube. I also asked about a group buy. They don't do that so they don't **** off their distributors. They haven't gotten any orders yet, so it'll probably be a while before we can hear what one sounds like. Summit carries Borla, but I don't expect a decent discount until it becomes popular. I would imagine at this point it would be a special order. As warmonger said, Borla does make a decent sounding exhaust so I'm waiting with bated breath!
