Thanks Brian... yeah, I've seen that one. That's Kirk's first shot at the exhaust, straight pipes and some kind of mufflers at the tips I think. I was wondering what it sounded like with the X-pipe and the stock mufflers at the tips.

Get off your ass and come on out!

Didnt want to keep you guys waiting so I used a crappy video camera I had. It sounds much better than the video shows, just waiting for a good camera to capture the sound better.

Thanks for taking the video. A lot of booming coming from my sound system. Looks like it's Corsa for me. Can't have any drone in the SHO. It's not a Mustang.

evil, if you make another video, can you get some outside sound and rev up the motor also? I like it. I think it's a deeper sound and less the sound of a British sports car. Thanks for posting :thankyou:

I wonder how cool it would sound when you're slowing down and downshifting at the same time? Be like your Ferrari blipping the throttle.

Not sure about the Borla. Unless I'm missing something, it says there is welding involved in the install. Since I'm not a welder, I would need to go to an outside sourse for install. With respect to Corsa, I've read that the normal driving sound isn't that great. Any other comments on sound?

IIRC, the tips stick waaaaay out the back of the car. The fella on here with the Ferrari and G-wagon has 'em and they would need to be cut and re-welded. Maybe thats the welding that is required. I can't really see a kit from them being a weld-on though, bolt-on would be my guess like everyone elses.

You mean my post about normal driving? The Corsa is sounding better as I put some miles on it. It's not really the exhaust that sounds bad it's the car always wanting to go into 6th gear when possible putting it at a very low RPM. So with light pedal effort it can sound a little funky. Under any kind of real load or slightly higher RPM it's fine and brings some character to the car.

It's very difficult to get a good sound out of a V6. It's not my GT500 by any means but fitting for the type of car.

My tips do stick out a good amount. It is a weld on kit, and with any kit you need to cut after the cats. It comes with hardware to be a bolt on but I paid to have it welded.

Can anyone of you guys with the Borla get an sound bite from the outside? I'm sure we would all appreciate it very much. Also, a picture of the tips? That kinda sucks if one has to trim off some so that they don't stick out so much.

A warning for those whose exhaust tips stick out beyond the bumper.... I have burned myself twice on my custom G8 GT exhaust because I have touched the tips when I load the trunk. And...yes... it took me 2 times to get it right!
