Been working on this one for some time now.

By a show of hands, who thinks this car puts better than 400ft-lbs of torque on the tires?

Study the pictures below and post your responses.

Looks boring but im sure theres some super hidden stuff going on.

My guess is on remote turbos with a clever way to pipe in the air inlet into the airbox, from below....

Considering it has a slot style MAF and the post is from Doug, I would say it does. Probably has stock cams (or not too agressive cams, Stage 1) running a remote turbo with LC pistons and ~12-14 psi of boost. However, the fuel system is a bottle neck at the top RPM, but with stock cams you don't need to spin the motor much above 7K anyway. and he has probably "worked" the stock exhaust manifolds to gain some flow to spin up the turbo (T-60?)

and talk about a sleeper!!

actually if it is a remote turbo, I'm ok with that. I'd like to ask the owner a few questions about the setup. but it would suck cause then I don't really stand out anymore...

Its about time someone else uses the airbox to hide the piping to keep the stock look. We've go 1.5 years or so on our turbo '89 and no one knows it is boosted from just popping the hood.
