SO heres a little story. I was coming home from work and i get in the car to start it and the clutch pedal WILL NOT go down all the way. gets to just about the friction point and there is far too much tension. Well i get it to go far enough to start and struggle getting it into different gears as the pedal is barely going to that point. I go to shift into 3rd and i hear a loud pop followed by the pedal going all the way to the floor. I suspected the cable was bad so i slapped a brand new one on aaaand...nothing. I did prop up the pedal and everything while installing. When i hooked the cable to the tranny side my friend watched the adjuster and it was pulled all the way back (giving the cable slack) and now it stays at its highest position. When you push in the clutch it does nothing with the adjuster or cable as if the pedal and cable are not at all connected or the cable and adjuster arent connected therefore connecting the cable. Anyone have ideas of what is wrong and what i should look for? Sorry for the long winded post!
