I took a look in the "How To" section but came up empty.

When the clutch pedal unit is installed in the car already, how do you adjust the switch? When the pedal is on the floor, the plastic stopper on the plastic rod is at the end of the rod and barely touches the switch body. It should be about an inch along the rod, guaranteeing that it touches the switch to make the electrical connection.

There is not a lot of room up there, and the plastic parts mentioned above seem to be in a protective channel. There seems to be teeth on the plastic rod and the plastic stopper seems to grip these teeth to stay in position.

I can only think that it is a one way ratchet affair on the stopper, and all I have to do is slide it along with a screwdriver and it will stay where I put it. But I don't want to experiment with it, and end up breaking it.

Thanks

Thanks for the information. And sorry for my bad naming of the switch, I should have had "starter" included in the description.

There are 2 electrical switches on the clutch pedal. The switch in your case indicates when the clutch is in the rest position (no one pressing on the clutch). I do not know the function of this switch.

My concern is the one where the clutch pedal is fully depressed, foot on the floor, and it allows the starter motor to "roll over" the car.

The mechanics of the switch seem needlessly complicated and so far, seem difficult to service or adjust.
