I had a set of CM lowering springs on the front of my 95 Taurus previously and they advertised a 2" drop. However, they only dropped the car 1.5" after settling. One of the reasons I think was that my stock struts on the 95 had a spacer plate about a 1/4" thick that went on the top of the strut mount before you installed the struts. I used the plate when putting in my lowering springs and Monroe Sensitrac struts. I will be using the combo on my 93 SHO.
My question is : Who has lowered there car without using the top plate and were there any problems without? I want to make sure the springs won't rub the strut tower as thats why they were probably used on my 95.
