I wouldnt give them more than $4k with that many miles. however volvo is know for having good motors, the automatic is another story. i would get a little nervous if its never been rebuild. just my .02

I was wondering about the trannys. I havent heard anything about them either way though. The car is at a shop in blooming ton called Swedish motors, or something along those lines. I test drove one at apple valley ford the other day and it was a great ride, however, it only has 139k, but it had a broken strut mount, a failing rear diff, front end damage, some interior pieces missing, and the seats and what not were a bit shabby. Their best price was 5k, with no service history.

unless you get some kind of free warranty i would never buy used from a dealer. from the sounds of things i think the one on CL is more of a value then the one from the dealer. do they make them in a 5spd manual? if so that would be the best then you wont have to worry about anything tranny wise. just clutch and if the gears work then you would be fine. i will do some lookin. see what i can come up with and let ya know joe...as someday i wouldnt mind owning a volvo haha
