First, I want to say thanks to everybody who posted here to help me narrow down the problem.

When I was looking under the hood this evening, trying to figure out where all the bolts were that I needed to disconnect to get this out, I noticed something that I haven't noticed before.

The wire that the arrow is pointing too, that was my entire problem. Most of the wire came loose out of the metal holder, so it was only making partial contact.
I started the car, moved this wire just a hair, and the car started charging again (I had the volt meter hooked to the battery before I started it this time).

It's perfect! It explains why when the battery light would come on in the past, fiddling with the positive battery cable for a bit made the problems go away.

After pulling that, replacing the metal piece, and hooking everything back up, The SHO is a go again! :woo-hoo::omgsho:

When I was pulling voltages before all of this, I was pulling it from the 3 wire connector that plugs into the top. I never noticed this until tonight. :thankyou::thankyou::thankyou:

Haha I had a no-start SHO for a while. We jacked it up about 2 days later and found it was just a loose wire.

What wire?? We have a no-start on the 89 we just picked up! We have fuel pump prime, fuel at rail, spark at a plug, everything so far looks plugged in, so....
---ashley, took some pics of,you know, & will PM you soon. you can always call to talk, as its SO much easier! LOL

Uhhh...I'll let Sam know you're wondering. He was the one that found it and I don't think I have the video anymore.

As for the other thing...PM me a number? :thankyou:

Ok he can't remember. But it was connected to one of the posts on the starter (toward the front of the car) and he said clipped in just above the starter. The clip I believe had come loose but seems to be fine since we reconnected it.

Just check that everything's connected well I guess.
