First, I want to say thanks to everybody who posted here to help me narrow down the problem.
When I was looking under the hood this evening, trying to figure out where all the bolts were that I needed to disconnect to get this out, I noticed something that I haven't noticed before.
The wire that the arrow is pointing too, that was my entire problem. Most of the wire came loose out of the metal holder, so it was only making partial contact.
I started the car, moved this wire just a hair, and the car started charging again (I had the volt meter hooked to the battery before I started it this time).
It's perfect! It explains why when the battery light would come on in the past, fiddling with the positive battery cable for a bit made the problems go away.
After pulling that, replacing the metal piece, and hooking everything back up, The SHO is a go again! :woo-hoo:
When I was pulling voltages before all of this, I was pulling it from the 3 wire connector that plugs into the top. I never noticed this until tonight. :thankyou::thankyou::thankyou:
