As it stands now... Im in the closing stages of purchasing a 1997 SHO, 122,000 miles, rebuilt tranny, Mint Interior, new tires...

the price?... $500

the issue is the car was SLIGHTLY hit on the passenger side and only needs a fender, door(the hardest part) and a power steering pump.

The only thing holding me back is the sale of the '91 (cant afford to keep both). And I shall have pics when I get back into town.

Go ahead... cry.

Maybe if he takes the cams out himself he can get it done for cheaper than $500 but in my experience you get what you pay for.

I'm sure the car was worth $500, I might have bought it myself since I'm a big sucker for $500 cars. I was simply pointing out that I got a better deal lol.

A $500 car is probably going to have $500 car problems.

Not all the time. I bought a 98 Explorer Sport for $500 with about 130,000k on it. It passed inspection after I got a windshield 3 months ago. It now has 144,000k, drove it to Florida and back and so far all I replaced was the IAC and all for shocks (only because I wanted to). It even has ice cold A/C.

If you want to know about what your car is really worth, look at Edmunds.com. kbb is in bed with the dealers, and their numbers are significantly inflated.....

as far as problems... i mentioned them on the 1st post...It was a dealer trade who doesnt feel like making it sale ready again so he is just getting rid of it as quick and painless as possible.

like I said... pics when I get back b/c by then I'll own it.

Just gotta sell the 91 first.

Nice try guys on the buzzkill. BTW.
