Is there anyway to get the LPM to be able to tune say Lightning 80/90 MAFs????
Just wondering. I would bet even at 6-7 psi the 80mm is maxed out.
Right now, the LPM chip is limited to the LPM software. In this case, for the ATX, LPM software can custom tune a MAF curve.
In the case for MTX, it can't. This is a limit of the software. In the near future, we might have an LPM replacement, where you can have a greater MAF selection.
The LPM service is offered as a "legacy" service, to help the SHO community. Because of the limited and proprietary nature of the software, and chips themselves, it would not make sense to try revive them as a new tuning solution.
Again, the LPM makes sense as a cheap and alternative solution for basic scalar changes, like Idle, RPM limit, slight spark advance, etc.
The LPM tune I gave you is based on Vadim's old SC tunes, and works OK because you are using the SS 47 injectors, and Lincoln 80mm, which Vadim worked for years with. This setup works OK, but not optimal.
Eventually, you will probably go with Accel injectors, and a Lighting MAF, like I did. This is the point at which you really want a tweecer.
As far as a possible LPM replacement, this would simply fill the LPM gap, and only for simple mods, although I'm sure there will be a much greater MAF choice. We really want to avoid the "tune-by-mail" scenario created with the ShoSHOP and Ted B. Of course now, we have much better solutions, and the tweecer is my preference.
