I've tried but I just can't wear gloves on a leather wheel :)

I need to get my Ferrari F355 Challenge/OMP wheel off the wall and on to the C5..like holding the tie rods in your hands :)

What timer is on your wheel center?

BlindApex Timer - got it used for a good price. Works great!

Since it communicates with the AMB timing system it displays the exact same time that the official T&S will have. It'll also give the gap to the next fastest guy, which is handy.

It's completely changed my tire strategy, which is good since I'm on Hoosiers now, in that I'll have a good idea of the time I need to hit and if I get there or better I can come off track early and save the tires. That's been really helpful lately. It's also a good indicator of when you're just generally sucking and just burning off tires. So it's really useful if you're trying to manage a set of tires or two. Since I usually cord tires before I heat cycle them out (even the Hoosiers) it helps to extend the life of the tires. Probably more than paid for itself already from that perspective.

It's running off of clockspring power. It'd be a little nicer to have it mounted up higher in the sight line, but it's not bad at all where it is.

You need to make sure the organizations you run with have the transmitter, as not everybody does. My understanding is that our 944 group pooled resources and bought the transmitter for our organization, so we have it every event now. I got it from a guy who ran SCCA and didn't realize until he installed it that they don't have the Tx, so it was useless for him.

Pretty cool. What's that knocking sound in corners? Sounds like a loose strut tower brace or something.

Great video. How many miles on the odometer now?
