are the cams truly welded?

how would I be able to find out if the cams on my SHO have been welded... other then taking the previous owners word for it, and other then driving about 2 hours to NESHO, how can I find out if the cams are truly welded? :thankyou:

remove the intake and valve covers and check

+1...as the cam gears were sorta pressed on, if you see any welds at all around the gear and hub area then it was welded...now if it was cleaned and welded properly well...the effects of not doing that have been covered in multiple threads...I've never seen what properly welded cams look like, so I can't describe it to ya. I'd ask some of the v8 owners if they have pics of welded cams, and I'd compare them to how your cams look.

I don't see why people have such a huge problem with the T.. I have a problem with the damn PCV hosing lol.

It had a problem with me. It decided it wanted to split into 3 peices on me. Old cooked plastic becomes brittle. None of my hoses gave me troubles.
