I am going to be replacing tires on the 91' SHO soon. I have been researching the new Goodyear Eagle GTs. Has anyone tried them yet? I am currently running P225/55R16s on a 16x6 wheel. I have read alot of the tests and the results seem real good, but I would like to hear from a SHO owner about their experiences. Thanks for your help.

I love mine. I'm running 215/60/16's on my 91.

EDIT: Forgot to add, outstanding wet and snow traction as well.

Never tried em, can tell you that a cheap tire that kickes ass in the Falken Ziex... cheap at about 100 a tire and its grips like a ****! wears good as well

My car is a daily driver, which is driven with gusto, so I am looking for a tire with a good balance of all these factors. I have been using the Kumho 712s for several years, with mostly good results, but I am looking for a more "all-season" package then they offered.

I bought some Yokohama Avid T4's for the Malibu, and they've been great. Tested in all conditons.. (yay Indiana) I was debating on putting them on the SHO, but I would be nervous about early tire wear... ( I religiously beat the snot outta my SHO.. ) :) No tire peeling, but hard turns wear your stuff faster.

Those were #1 or #2 in all season something when I looked them up on tire rack. Lot of reviews on there. Might wanna check it out.

I find the yokohama's have a really stiff carcass when I dismount or mount them....

I can't offer too much advice on all season tires.. I live in south florida

my current wheels are take-offs from a Volvo, and they are still running the stock 235-45-17 Pirelli P6 all season.... I don't know if it was just from the wheel change to a 17x7.5 vs a 16x6 or what.... and my previous tires were 225-50-16 Nitto NT-450(no grip at all!)..... but these all seasons handle better then I could have ever expected for a tire like this......

I've seen pictures of the current P6 and it looks like a slightly different tread pattern then mine with more cuts into it......

probably better in snow then my design.... once again I can't comment on that tho, I've never even driven in snow!

If I had a nice sedan used as a daily driver that I just wanted a nice lasting, smooth riding, quiet tire... I would go with a higher quality Michelin tire without a second thought about it..... in my professional opinion these seem to be the best tires for that.....

of course you hear a lot of people complain about tire wear and tire noise... some say a certain tire wears fast, some might say the tires got noisey after awhile... so you can't take all those reviews online seriously...... most of those problems are attributed to the driver, and suspension.... when I hear a quality tire loud on the road and someone says its was quiet when new.... 9 times out of 10 its because of a suspension problem.....

I've tried Michelins before and found them to be a very hard ridding tire with a very vague feel off-center. That and you spend 1 1/2 to 2 times as much for each tire.

I really like my Goodyear GTs, they handle well wet and dry, they are quiet.
Not to mention the fact, they look cool. I'm very pleased so far.
