I'm in the process of getting all the parts for the waterpump job. Im also changing the belts and the CPS. Now, what in the **** does CPS stand for. Is it Camshaft Position sensor or CrankShaft Position sensor. I ordered the camshaft position sensor and now that i think about it, i'm almost positive it's the wrong one. Who's gonna be the one to make me feel like trash and tell me i ordered the wrong one. anyone? Thanks in advance.

Eh...you ordered the wrong one. Autozone has them for about $40. CPS=Crank pos. sensor.

The "real" name for the sensor on the camshaft is the cylinder identification sensor, or CID. It's job is to sychronize the signals from the crankshaft position sensor (3 pulses per revolution) with the actual cylinders. There are more than a couple of sites and stores that have the names of the two sensors confused. Don't feel too badly.
