Yes I know what the search option is.....and no this is not the first time I've worked with car audio before. and I am aware that I can just rewire the car with aftermarket components, but I choose not to. Now that we have that covered. :salute:

I've searched and searched without finding a real answer. Here's the deal. I have a stripper 94 with premium sound. I have replaced the head unit with a Kenwood, and bypassed the stock premium amp (have taken it out of the car) by using the base Taurus wiring harness already in the car and relying on the head unit's internal amp for power. I have since acquired a stock sub enclosure, and a JBL amp rack. I would like to power the sub using the JBL amp rack. The rack includes the black JBL amp, silver amp, and the cable between the 2 amps. I understand the silver amp is the sub power, and pulls it's feed from the black amp. My simple question is how do I power the sub with the stock amp rack? What are the red/yellow wires coming out of the silver amp? I know how to plug the sub into the silver amp. I also understand the "gray" wire that pulls feed for the amps. The problem is when I plug in the other connector (the one that sends output to speakers) to the black amp, the sound disappears. Let me reitterate that I am very familiar with how to install systems in cars, but this is really throwing me. How can I make this work? Thanks in advance for any help!
