Yay or nay?

I don't like it to be honest I'm thinking of taking it off next weekend and just going with black. Opinions please.

Seems odd at 1st glance.

But as with any color mod, you should consider to what extent you'll carry that new color all throughout the vehicle.

I.E. Remainder of the exterior (like if you consider painting brake calipers red, and/or carry the red elsewhere like maybe red SHO hood stripes, etc.) then you should also consider transitioning the red into the interior.

If all you plan on doing just the outline of the upper grille, and just the rear trunk spear......

It would seem odd if you stopped there.

I was going with the whole red and white theme but now I'm not so sure. I am doing the calipers red so maybe it will help and maybe doing the bottom piece of the bumper that everyone paints red will help as well.

Also maybe a different kind of red. I think maybe a matte red instead of the gloss racing red would look better

Either way, just some options for ya.

I like the idea of a somewhat, not so balls in your face, muted type of red.

Introducing a 2nd color, especially a powerful, strong color such as red, should be implemented sparingly throughout.

Here's an example of a fellow SHO owner who rocked some red hot pipes in his engine bay......

So hopefully you kind of get what I mean, by carrying the theme all throughout.

No performance gains.

However, for those on the higher end of the hp spectrum, those pipes became necessary as some of the bends/elbows began flexing.

It was funny watching mine flex on the dyno during various tuning sessions. Which in turn, caused fluctuations in boost. The hot pipes prevented that. Plus they provide that added eye candy under the hood.

Pretty much this. With all accent colors you need to make them fit in with the rest of the vehicle. As you have it now with only the front chrome piece red and the rear bar red, it's a nay from me. The red on the front matches nothing else so it looks odd. The red bar on the back kind of matches the tail lights but still looks odd. But like said, if you get more red accents in other places it could fit in place better.

I applaud your creativity and taking the risk to try something different! but to be honest that looks horrible - looks like a cheap "trick," if you know what I mean! Lipstick on a __________! I'm not bashing or making fun of you or your car - like I said I applaud taking risks on things but just giving an opinion.

I totally agree on the lipstick that actually the first thing my brother said. Lol it's actually been taken off already I couldn't go through with it. It's just gonna stay as a sleeper or follow the black and white theme everyone does. Thank you for your honest opinion.
