Ok, got the rod bearings done Sunday and everything seems to be working ok. The only problem is for some reason the y-pipe is not meeting up with the headers expecally the back one. Anyone have any tips or ideas? We tried like 4 times and still leaks and sonds awful.

You need to work with the Y-pipe to make sure that it is seated at both the front and rear exhaust manifolds. There is a large amount of wiggle room to allow the pipe to seat correctly or incorrectly. Don't tighten either ****** until the Y-pipe is fitted to both of them. Just snug the nuts a little at a time and make sure the Y-pipe is still seated.

Scott nailed it. If you crank down the front pipe ****** nuts first, it'll be almost impossible to line the rear ****** up with the studs.

If you have to do this by yourself (5 out of 10 on the PITA scale), an easier way I've found is to get the rear ****** loosely secured to the manifold studs, so you don't have to hold the Y-pipe with one hand and wrench with the other. Then you can move up and do the same on the front.
