Xenon driving light-bulbs ok? also a stereo question

I am thinking of buying some bulbs for my driving (lower) lights.
You can buy the Xenon super bright lights on ebay for about $17-$20 shipped. I think these are aftermarkets. Do these high output lights work ok? any problems with overheating? reliability?
Any brand reccomdations? Any other cost effective alternatives?

Also I am thinking of installing an amp or two in my 94. I have a clarion CD player. Any recomendations on where to mount front tweeters and midrange without hacking up the doors or dash too bad?
I have the stock 4 way speaker system now. Not the JBL's.

Any recomendations on a alarm too?

Unless they come with ballasts and all the associated wiring they are not really Xenon bulbs. I would guess they are blue painted bulbs.
