Just got done port matching my spacer to my intake runners. You can't even feel a change in the transition it's so smooth.

Now, when I get my heads exposed, I'll entertain the idea of matching the bottom part of the spacer to the openings in the head...

Money sent. Yes I have the spacer already installed. I just ran an 11.67 at the track yesterday and that’s a lot slower than I expected but I’m leaning towards it’s not from the spacer so I’ll install the dowels and port match it myself....that’ll rule out any type of air issue. Since I just did this do you think I need to buy all new gaskets again? I hope not.

I wouldn't think so. I know I'd probably re-use them, after making sure there wasn't any issue with them, of course

Nice work!
Did they cut the top off?
I enjoy porting and haven’t done it in over 10 years.

nah this one didn't cut the top off. When I swap them I'm going to send my other back for a more modest port as well and see how it goes.

FWIW, I know @bpd1151 did this, but I am so leery of cutting that top off. It makes me cringe a bit, tbh. Only reason why, that IM is cast molded and not billet. When it is re-welded back up, cast aluminum can sometimes start to out-gas and create more air pockets due to the imperfections in the material. I did this on an aftermarket cast Harley intake filter housing to seal up some breather ports and it turned into a nightmare sealing it up as we were chasing the pores that kept opening as my guy welded it. Finally got it done, but it wasn't pretty. And my guy knows what he's doing with aluminum welding too...

Anyway, I'm sure it's fine and will end up working out for you, but it's just too much of a possibility to occur for me to try it, lol.

Yea no intention of cutting it open, there are a lot more restrictions before I look at that.
