Making this a separate discussion from @SemperTim post so that it can be focused on the clutches themselves. I didn't want to hijack his build thread.

Well, well, well. Looks like https://www.raybestospowertrain.com/friction-clutch-packs/rcps-56 snuck one in on us. After we thought this project was dead, it randomly showed up as being available with little to no fanfare. I (or anyone else on the wait list) never even got word from my contact at with them, lol. Gotta give credit to @SemperTim for keying me into their actual availability.

Many of you may not know but this was a true grass roots effort by myself and a group of dedicated enthusiasts from this very forum. It was a bumpy road and almost 3 years in the making, but they are finally available!

Below is the marketing video that Raybestos made for the 6F55 Stage 1 plates that has footage from many of the big names in transverse ecoboost realm...see if you recognize any of the cars!

Go over to...

...to get yours now! Below are some additional links for those that want to see the work that went into getting these to market. Honestly, I think this is proof that if we get together, we can get something done for the platform. Thanks to the folks over at https://www.raybestospowertrain.com/ for listening. These will be going in shortly!

And for those that might be looking for even more support and potentially even better clutch plates, follow the journey that @802SHO is on and the partnership he's developed with https://helixautosport.com/. It looks like that set of clutches will be truly amazing when they are released. Follow the journey on the SHO Forum here:

So, I'm vastly out of my depth but curious to learn, what exactly makes this upgrade worthwhile?

What would it cost to get them installed?
Pretty penny. Pull transmission. Have it out and took apart to install. And install new gaskets and what not. Then a reinstall. Be without the sho for a bit probably. Best to do some other work while the transmission is out like Lsd kit and valve body and whatever else. Still be more but the transmission is already out so good time to do other work.

So as explained before in others replies, get a transmission from a local junk yard, shipped to a local trusted trans shop - have the work performed on the salvage - to help with some of what @yaycandy explained, try the following:

Shout out to @802SHO for the YT video Traction Concepts used for their Limited Slip Diff upgrade.

Then read the following to explain it all - and BOOKMARK his blog - @Ecoboost_xsport

Have fun.
