you guys keep saying the tranny shifts HARD....is this a good thing, or does it just beat up the tranny even more?
I'm no expert, nor a mechanic, but from what I've read, the faster (harder) an automatic transmission shifts, the less heat builds up inside it, and the less wear and tear it receives. It's not like the transmission is slamming into gear, it's just shifting really quick.
I haven't heard any chirps from the tires, but then again I've been driving on wet roads, and I have nice sticky tires (BFG geForce KDW's)

Edit:
I found that turning off O/D around town tonight (another "test drive") seemed to calm down the transmission when driving at slow, constant speeds around 20-30 MPH. Who needs four gears to hit 35 MPH anyways?
