happened on my old 95 as well. luckily i caught it before it got on the carpet, it got on my shoe when i was kicking the ebrake like notsoslowsho described

So that is what that crap is! Now I can clean it, thanks. I have a 79 Honda CB 650. The ignition ignitors are backed with this black epoxy that melts out and drips on the frame when they go bad from overheating. Looks like the same stuff.

Here's my solution.
A beveled plumbing washer held in place with a stainless 8-32.
The original bumper was there to soften the blow to the Ebrake idiot lamp switch.

....I just unplugged my ebrake switch when this happened to my 92....was driving to FPS and the shit dripped all over my sandal clad foot. I thought I had oil leaked all over me while I was hanging out with Doug and CO.

Mine did it too. I made a new one out of layers of 1/8 inch thick rubber and some really, really good double stick tape.
